SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAM
Cambodia-Asia Polytechnic Institute (CAPI) has a strong track record in proposal development, resource mobilization, and project implementation, contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Ratanakiri province and surrounding regions. Over the years, CAPI has successfully partnered with national and international funding agencies to deliver high-impact education and skills development programs, particularly benefiting indigenous youths.
Government-Funded Vocational Training Programs
Since 2021, CAPI has received continuous support from the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MoLVT) to implement two vocational training projects focused on information technology (IT) and innovative agricultural techniques. Through these initiatives:
⦁ More than 1,500 indigenous youths have strengthened their capacities in IT skills, business planning, financial literacy, and agricultural technical skills
⦁ Graduates have transitioned into self-employment, launched small businesses, or secured jobs with NGOs, private sector companies, and government departments within the province
These programs have played a significant role in improving youth employability and promoting sustainable livelihoods in indigenous communities.

U.S. Embassy RELO-English Works Program
CAPI has been funded twice by the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia to implement the English Works! Program during 2022–2023 and 2024–2025.
The program focuses on improving employability and life skills, particularly for vulnerable and indigenous youths. Key achievements include:
⦁ 125 indigenous students improved their English for employment
⦁ Participants strengthened essential soft skills, including:
⦁ Computer literacy
⦁ Teamwork and communication
⦁ Job searching and interview skills
⦁ Time management and goal setting
The program has generated tangible outcomes, with many graduates securing employment and applying their skills to support their families and contribute to community development.

European Union – BEST Project (2025–2027)
CAPI is one of seven higher education institutions from Cambodia, Vietnam, Italy, Belgium, and Greece participating in the EU-funded project “Boosting Excellence in Second-Tier Higher Education Institutes (BEST)”, implemented from 2025 to 2027.
The BEST project aims to strengthen the modernization and internationalization of second-tier higher education institutions by:
⦁ Enhancing staff capacity to identify and manage international research, teaching, and exchange opportunities
⦁ Strengthening International Relations Offices (IROs) and institutional governance systems
⦁ Improving internal mechanisms that enable HEIs in Cambodia and Vietnam to build and sustain global partnerships
Through BEST, CAPI is expanding its role as a regional education and research hub while strengthening its institutional capacity and international engagement.
